Judged across two categories in each mainland state, the CitySwitch National Awards showcase Signatories that have improved, maintained or achieved their NABERS Energy tenancy or whole building rating and have reported significant energy savings.
A huge range of reported activities are being undertaken by CitySwitch Signatories nationally – from behaviour change programs and equipment upgrades to sustainable transport initiatives, changes to procurement policy and implementation of data visualisation systems. These projects too often extend to beyond an energy efficiency focus, with wider-sustainability initiatives part of ‘business as usual’.
This year’s winners are market leaders within their field. They have undertaken an impressive scope of activities in an effort to drive change within their tenancy and are embracing sustainability actions as part of their day-to-day operations.
For 2010/ 2011, the selection of award winners was based on the information provided in Signatory Progress Reports and recognised state winners across two categories:
- CitySwitch Signatory of the Year under 2000 square metres
- CitySwitch Signatory of the Year over 2000 square metres.
