New GreenPower Connect product launched

Increasingly businesses, government organisations and buyer groups are looking to enter into direct relationships (contracts) with specific renewable energy projects by purchasing the outputs they generate through offtake agreements.

The new GreenPower Connect product provides a low cost opportunity for direct funders of large renewable energy projects to increase the credibility of their purchases by surrendering their Large-scale Generation Certificates (LGCs) via the GreenPower Program’s independent compliance audit framework.

Chairperson of the National GreenPower Steering Group, Tim Stock, says: “The aim of the GreenPower Connect is to capture a new market that has previously bypassed the Program due to the perceived cost of purchasing very large volumes of renewables through a traditional GreenPower product option.
