NABERS Energy (previously ABGR) is an industry recognised tool to help building owners and tenants across Australia benchmark their greenhouse performance.
CitySwitch Green Office is officially partnered with the NSW Department of Environment, Climate Change & Water (DECCW) who administer NABERS nationally, using this tool as the formal assessment for the program.
NABERS Energy rates the energy efficiency of buildings and tenancies from 1 to 5 stars, with 5 stars representing an exceptionally high level of energy efficiency. With the average tenancy performing at 2½ stars, a 4 star commitment means the tenant is at least 20 percent more efficient than the general commercial tenant market.
